The IKE (Idiotiki Kefalaiouchiki Etaireia) is Greece's standard private company and the usual choice for founders, consultants and small operating businesses. Its capital requirement is symbolic rather than a real barrier, 100% foreign ownership is permitted, and no Greek partner or resident director is required. Incorporation runs through the GEMI commercial registry and can be done remotely — in practice the one document that must be signed by hand is a notarised, apostilled power of attorney.
